'POWER' is going to be a fantastic movie that's based in the gritty streets of north London. The film starts off in Haringey, in Durim Berisha's (actor ' Innis Berisha') estate were he plays a well acted role of an Albanian mob boss. This part of the film is produced well and very exciting. After, it changes to show the other London borough, Barnet which Omar Sutton ('Daniel Johannes') runs his estate which is filled with young teenagers all below age 18. This part of the movie made me feel very emotional having this leader influence all the kids in to doing bad things. The movie also shows what it's like as a mum watching there kids turn in to thugs and not being able to do anything. The film also points out at the end this happens in all sides of London as is an ongoing sad process were kids can easily fall in to the wrong lifestyle simply by just hanging around with the wrong people. The film 'POWER' has a sad brutal ending i've been told, leaving me almost in tears of the thought. cant wait to see the film and know it will be a great watch, definitely recommend to anyone out there looking for a good film.

On the first day of production Hugh Dineen (director/producer) had to choose his cast and characters for the film. He also had set were POWER was going to be located (set) which he decided Barnet and Haringey. Here are some of the side characters (gang members) of the cast he picked.
The group on the left would represent the Barnet gang, run by Omar Sutton. The group on the right would represent the Haringey gang, run by Durim Berisha. Innis isn't from London, he was born in Albania in 1990. This reflects the fact many immigrants come from Albania every year and theres a large population of them in London. Innis had a good up bringing and left Aldbania when he was fifteen, he started his acting career in 2006 so has had many years of experience. He whent to drama school in England (south London) and plays a very well acted part in the film as gang leader 'Durim Berisha'. Overall Innis was also very highly praised for his part in the film and earnt his part in the movie.
So what inspired you to make the film?
I was influenced by Kidulthood however after I decided to make a film similar as I enjoyed the movie but thought there could be some improvements on what Londons really like. What made you choose North London in the first place? Because its were I grew up and I dont think theres ever been a movie based in north london within the past ten years, which adds to the excitment. What appealed you to gang culture? There was no appeal to gang life/culture the movie just makes the audience more aware of what some of the darker places in london are like. Giving even parents more knowledge on whats on there own streets. Have you ever been seen gangs around london yourself? Yes ofcourse, there everywere but you won't know there in a gang unless they tell you. There's gangs from every race spread across London even in areas you think there are not. This is what I tried to express in the movie. Omar Sutton is nothing short of crazy. His mood swings makes him such an unpredictable character leaving the audience shocked and unaware of what he'll say next. Omar has been running his estate in Barnet for a few years and is finding scheming, illegal ways to make more money also by getting the younger and more stupid ones to do it for him. Meanwhile, Whilst he builds up an army of young workers bad behaviour becomes even more common in the area. The constant fighting between him and the other crew doesn't make him nervous but does cause stress as each day brings new drama. Let us just say, Omar is not one to be messed with.
Durim Berisha (played by actor Innis Berisha) starts off a subtle, low key leader however as the story unfolds his two faced self starts to show the other side to him and act more uncontrollable and reckless. Being a gang leader he knows he needs to keep his reputation of violence in case someone thinks he's soft and try's to step up and take his place. The police are investigating his estate and know about this gang activity that goes on around there, so he has to be smart before the police find out he's the leader...
